What YOGA CAN DO FOR YOU
Yoga can be one possible way to tune into yourself, your body, your mind, maybe even your soul and divinity. When we first start our yoga practice, we might notice most easily the effects on the physical plane, enhancing our flexibility, strength and endurance. Later on, we might notice, that we feel more energetic coming out of a yoga practice, and maybe the mind is a bit quieter. Or we feel very much connected with our own being, with a sense of connectedness to everything around us. There are so many layers that yoga can impact. And the most beautiful thing is, that we don't have to understand any of that mentally, we just start the journey and experience the effects along the way.
Yoga Therapy
Bringing all layers of your being into alignment
Yoga therapy
Yoga therapy is an integral approach to support the process of going through certain dis-eases and dis-comforts in the body. Yoga defines 5 different layers of our body, the so-called 5 koshas (5 bodies), which encompass the physical body, the energetical body, the mental body, the wisdom body and the bliss body. In yoga therapy it is believed that dis-eases or dis-comforts that express in the physical body (in case of stress-borne diseases) originate in the energetical body as blockages in our energetic field. This energetical blockages transfer into our mental body and from the mental body into the physical body. If then, in a therapy, we only address the physical body and leave out the work on the other layers, the possibility is that these diseases, can't be solved, or they resurface after a while.
In a yoga therapy session, we address all 5 layers. We work with specific asanas (poses) that are adapted to what is available to you in that moment to work on the physical body; we incorporate pranayama (breathwork) to clear the energetical body and meditation to work on the mental body. And in a conversation, we might gain a greater comprehension of where the stagnation may originate from (wisdom body) and how we can further gain greater harmony in your being (bliss body).
A session lasts in between 75-90 minutes, the costs of which are 60 euros.
Vinyasa yoga
Inviting the flow back into body & mind
VINYASA Yoga
Flowing on the rhythm of our breath, this style of yoga leaves us energized and uplifted and at the same time with a calm mind.
The classes are attuned to the cycles of the year, month and day and encompass themes that help us to get to know ourselves better, may it be on the physical or mental plane or listening to our heart's desires. Adapted to the needs of the ones that join, the flows are more gentle or dynamic in nature.
* There is also the option for a private class at your home alone or with your loved ones. A class will normally last in between 60-75 minutes, the costs of which are a minimum of 40 euros. If more than 4 people are present, I ask for a contribution of 10 euros per person. Also, if your home is on a far distance, the price may rise.
Yin yoga
Moving into sweet surrender
Yin yoga
This style of yoga invites us to stay longer times in each pose, giving our body and mind the time to dive deeper into the experience.
It is an invitation to deeply surrender and go within, to embrace what is there and experience softening as the resistance leaves our being.
* Currently there are no regular Yin Yoga classes, however there is the option for a private class at your home alone or with your loved ones.
